Rowley Surveying Ltd has been chosen to measure the building that the Lancaster bomber in WW2 was built in. At 1.2 million square feet in size, this building at its time of construction, was the largest in Europe. When in operation, the building was covered in earth / grass with fake cows, trees and buildings to disguise it from bomber raids.
Now used as a warehouse distribution centre, this building was immense! using the handheld laser, the distances for each unit reached up to 200m.
